Well, you’ve retired, or semi-retired, or are about to. Thoughts of travel, getting at that book that has roamed around in the back of your mind for simply ages, spending luxurious time with interested students, devoting more and MORE time to a favourite hobby or charity or just doing blessed nothing for a while are dancing in your head
Enjoy. but...
You’ll want someone to keep an eye on some of the U of T matters that support these efforts, someone — some group — that need only represent the retired faculty, librarians and senior administrators. Pension and benefits come to mind, for example. RALUT does that —see details elsewhere on this site. As well, after all that travelling and writing and teaching you may be glad for the opportunity to relax and enjoy good company. RALUT does that, too: join us at the monthly (except July and August) First Wednesday lunch at noon at the Faculty Club.
Membership in RALUT is open to all retired academics, librarians and administrators of the University of Toronto, and to surviving spouses/partners of deceased retired academics, librarians and administrators. So join RALUT now: print out a copy of the membership application form (pdf), or request one from the RALUT office. Just fill in the form and mail it with your cheque to our postal address, either regular or campus mail. Any questions? Contact us at our office:
